About
Viktoria Chikalo (b.1988 in Lviv, Ukraine) is a London based visual artist, portrait and documentary photographer, visual storyteller and creative director. She brings an empathetic perspective to explore human connection shaped by her personal experiences, including relocating to the UK due to war in her home country. Her work balances visual, psychological, and emotional sensitivity. At the core of her practice is an interest in presence, movement, intimacy, and perception, where light, body, and imagination exist in an ongoing dialogue. Her visual language is inspired by fine art, poetry, philosophy, and the ongoing pursuit of self-knowledge.
Alongside her independent artistic practice, Viktoria works with artists, performers, creatives, cultural institutions, and brands, helping shape visual identity, develop campaigns, and contribute to meaningful visual storytelling. Her work spans portraiture, documentary photography, theatre and performance imagery, editorial commissions, writing and campaign direction.
